Robert Campbell and family (sons, Charles, James, John, Robert,daughtes Mary, Sarah and wife Janet Stuart)reportedly from Tyrone came to America aboutt 1709 and settled in Voluntown Connecticaut by 1714. My wife descends from both John. Her 1st cousin (a CAmpbell) had his DNA tested and is R1A1,[note Argyll is R1B1]. Have connected with three other R1A1 Campbells that descend from Robert. All have done quite alot of searching for documentation of Robert's heritage without success both in Ireland and Scotland.
