I'm researching my Colman/Coleman family history. They were of Scot-Irish decent and came to the colonies in the early 1700's from north Ireland. My earliest known ancestor was George Colman of South Carolina, born about 1780. He moved to Georgia in the early 1800's and married Nancy Burford, born 1782 in NC and a resident probably of Greene co., GA.  They were the parents of my third great grandfather, Henry Allen Coleman, born 1814 in Putnam co., GA.  My DNA is of the Cahan (O'Kane) family group and is posted on YSEARCH.ORG
