As time allows going to post some updates of the McCain family from Ulster and mid Argyll, this is the Mac Eáin family we believe (DNA data) lived in Glassary Kilmichael in mid Argyll to circa late 1500s then to east Donegal, later Tyrone, Derry and northwest Antrim in the 1600s.  There is a McCain clan blog for this family also, which can be reached if you google Clann Mhic Eain  (the McCain family in Gaelic).
