Hello everyone, I am interested in identifying the surname Keilty from County Tyrone and how far back the name goes (through DNA or otherwise). My greatgrandfather, Michael Keilty (abt 1838-1923), was supposed to have lived in Tyrone before immigrating to the USA in 1860, marrying Sarah Quinn in 1870, naturalized citizen 1875, and died in Watertown, CT in 1923. I was told he was of Gaelic origin. He was a farmer. The Keilty family was Catholic to the bone. Then and now.

Anyone coming across the name Keilty in their searches, please drop me a note. Thank you.
