My earliest known McGuire Ancestor

Well, lets add an initial topic, "My earliest known ancestor and what I know about him"

To begin:

My earliest documented ancestor was Joseph McGuire, he was born July 24, 1752 in or near Easton, Pennsylvania, His father is thought to have been Lawrence McGuire who was named in Franklin's Gazette and Mickley's publication about the Indian massacre at Stenton's Station in October 1763, the family later migrated to Bedford County, Virginia where Lawrence Sr., Lawrence Jr. and Joseph McGuire served in the Revolutionary War, Lawrence Sr. died at Valley Forge, April 17, 1778, his family moved to Lincoln County, Kentucky about 1789, Lawrence McGuire Jr. married Roseanne Wiley and died about 1807 in Henry County, Kentucky, Joseph McGuire married first Mary Scarborough in Bedford County and second Nancy Wiley Baker in Henry County, Kentucky, Joseph McGuire died October 23, 1839 in Henry County.

My Gen One knowledge comes from my Grandma's genealogy research conducted the old (hard) way via post office, typewriter and travel when she could circa 1948-1955.  Family tribal lore gives clues in places that have allowed me to beat out the details nowadays. Sure wish Grandma was still around to see this!

I digress...Enniskillen, Co Fermanaugh was Patrick McGuire's birthplace circa 1780-1790. He emigrated with a family of Spences (brothers John and William) and apparently feel for their sister Sarah.  Uncertain of his port of entry or exactly "when" however back tracking dates shows he married Sarah in Dec 1827 after having (probably) fought in the War of 1812 with the 16th Ohio Infantry Regiment (I found a land warrant for 160 ac awarded to Sgt Patrick McGuire for service in said war).

Patrick and Sarah lived and raised four children in western OH (Knox, Guernsey Co) for a few years then moved to Southern Illinois and began farming next to the Spence family. I think the oldest son (James) remained behind in OH, not sure, but do know that upon Patrick's death (Sep 1853 in Makanda IL) and subsequent estate probate only Mary Jane, Edward and John were listed as receiving the proceeds.  Edward (b 1836 OH) went on to farm the land, purchase more, raise a family as well and passed that on to his son Willie (b 1866).

I'm the sixth generation and number seven is doing fine!

My mom belongs to McGuire family before marriage.
So Mr. and Mrs. McGuire are my grandma and grandpa.
